Headspace

This season of life has really showed me that building the right mentality is far more important than building the right muscle. Some of you may know that I am in the process of selling my house and moving from Athens to Knoxville (Go Vols!). That change has created a transitional period for me where the consistency in the kitchen and they gym that I have kept up with isn’t as easy, or sometimes feasible at all. There have been other periods of change and sometimes life just throwing wrenches into plans that have helped me get to the place I am now. Through my journey and those challenges I have not only built in some wiggle room with my weight and fitness, but I have also seen that I can recover once life settles down. Just like building muscle, it has taken work to get to a headspace that I can stay calm in the transition and enjoy some of the people and things that I would be leaving behind. Its ok to go get lunch with a friend that I may not see for a while That’s important to remember always, not just in transition phases as well. That time with a friend or family is worth the extra calories 100% of the time every time. Build a mind state that will allow you to enjoy life while also working towards your goals. The goal will still be there tomorrow. Hers a picture of me enjoying a vacation with some of my very best friends. I ate absolutely horribly and enjoyed every minute of it. Got back on the train immediately (ehh, a few days) after getting back.
